The Halcyon Big Diver Alert Marker (SMB) – 1.4 m is a high-visibility, closed-circuit surface marker buoy designed for reliable deployment from depth. Standing 1.4 metres (4.5 ft) tall and delivering approximately 18 kg / 40 lb of lift , it provides excellent surface presence for both recreational and technical diving. The closed-circuit design retains gas once inflated, helping the SMB remain upright and fully inflated on the surface. An integrated over-pressure relief valve (OPV) allows safe inflation at depth while preventing over-expansion during ascent.
